Coert Du Plessis
Coert joined BHP late 2016 as the Company’s Head of Digital Strategy. He is responsible for developing BHP’s digital vision and direction, accelerating the adoption of next generation digital technologies and embedding digital ways of working that support BHP’s vision to being fully integrated and highly automated.
Prior to this, Coert was Group Executive with the privately held CFC group where he drove the digital disruption adoption agenda and New Business, working directly with the chairman and CEOs of the group companies in creating new business channels and structures.
At the global consulting firm Deloitte, Coert was a senior partner and established Deloitte’s highly regarded advanced analytics and big data practice in Western Australia, specialising in resources, digital and customer practices.
Early in his career, Coert worked for Deutsche Bank’s Global Equities division, and in the Strategy and Marketing division of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe with the launch of Playstation2.
