Grant’s passion is social and environmental regeneration in the built and natural environments.

His background includes degrees in business and engineering from The University of Western Australia, and a Master of Business Law from The University of Sydney. Grant spent four years in management consulting at Bain & Company in Sydney, Johannesburg and Stockholm, before turning to property development.

In 2015 he founded Northstar Development, which focuses on elevating the importance of people and the environment when developing property. Going hand in hand with this is a suite of licensed European zero carbon and in-fill building approaches to be applied in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the distribution of a pioneering rainwater filtration device across the African continent.

Diving since he was 14, his long-held desire to make a contribution to our oceans led to him co-founding the Western Australian Ocean Foundation, of which he is Chairperson. WAOF’s mission is to facilitate the continuous improvement in the health and ethical use of the oceans of Western Australia through collaboration
